Explore Spain's Rich Culture this Summer with Napa Valley College
Napa, CA – Napa Valley College's International Education office invites you to embark on two study abroad adventures in the summer of 2024. Immerse yourself in the heart of Spain with our Spanish Language program in Salamanca from June 27th to July 20th, and discover the dynamic business landscape of Barcelona from July 6th to July 20th. Spanish in Salamanca (June 27 - July 20, 2024):
Join us on a linguistic journey in the charming medieval city of Salamanca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Delve into immersive Spanish language classes at the historic Pontifical University of Salamanca from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm daily. Stay with local Spanish families, explore the city's rich history, and participate in exciting excursions to Madrid and Segovia. Earn 3 college credits in Spanish, suitable for all levels. The program cost is $2,750, covering room, meals, and in-country travel (excluding airfare).
Business in Barcelona (July 6 - July 20, 2024):
Transform Barcelona into your classroom and witness the intersection of tradition and innovation in the business world. This 13-night program offers a unique blend of academic and cultural experiences, including visits to historic wineries, start-up entrepreneurs, Camp Nou Stadium, and La Boqueria Market. Explore iconic landmarks like the Sagrada Familia and Montserrat Monastery. Earn 3 college credits in International Business (BUSI 111). The program cost is $2,990, covering accommodation, meals, and in-country travel (excluding airfare).
Led by distinguished educators, Professor Claudette Shatto, named the 2022 Educator of the Year by the Napa Register, will guide the International Business in Barcelona program. With a tenure at Napa Valley College since 2014, she brings a wealth of experience in teaching Business & Entrepreneurship. Likewise, Professor Nicole Carrier, with a BA in Spanish and an MA in Hispanic Linguistics, will lead the Spanish in Salamanca trip. Bringing over two decades of Spanish teaching experience since 2002, she has visited 30 countries and lived and studied in seven.
